Finally a decent experience at the dealer.

ok I bought my black 05 Maxima SE with 38k miles on it about a month ago at Rick Case Honda in Weston, Florida. Well about 2 weeks after I had it small problems started surfacing. The car was vibrating (rotors) and making ugly noises when braking, and the belts in the car started to make annoying squeaking noises, also the salesman promised me he would fix a small (but noticeable) dent in the panel behind the right passenger window after i purchased the car.

well before i fixed the rotors myself this weekend i decided to give it a shot and sent the sales manager an angry email explaining how the situation makes it impossible for me to recommend a rick case dealership to any of my family, friends or message forums i frequent on the web (). lo and behold today i just received a call from the salesman that sold me the car letting me know that he received the email from the district manager (ouch) and that everythings cool, to bring the car in to be fixed and the dent would be taken care of as well.

this is probably my only good experience at a dealer ever, I mean how would you feel if you shelled out over 22 grand and a month later you would have to pay $1,000 out of your own pocket to repair it?

You basically threatened to trash the guy's reputation unless he repaired some things that weren't part of the actual sales agreement, and because he subsequently agreed to repair them, you concluded that you had had a "good dealership experience?" Am I missing something here?

Nope. That sounds right, but I understand why you would consider that a "good experience" We dont hear too many of those good stories on the org LOL Congrats on punking a dealer more power to you

woah woah dude, are u a salesman? im not ruinin no ones reputation, just dissapointed in the dealership thats all.
first of all, im payin over 22gs for a car, i shouldnt have to do **** to the car (except oil changes) at least for the first six months! this happened less than 2 weeks after i drove it off the lot.

what are you crazy? they didnt want to repair the dent that they promised to fix after i bought the car. that sound fair to you?

i know the brakes and belts are maintenance, but they should have replaced this before sellin me the car since it has close to 40k on it.

why do you think they agreed to fix it?

go fish dogs.

uhmmm...if I were I'd be careful and watch them while they do their work on your car. The reason being that the district manager got hold of your email before the salesman did, and he/she might have given the salesman some whoopin'...I dunno...just be careful..
