225/55/16 or 215/55/16? Help me decide!!

Trying to decide whether to put my wife's stock size back or move up to the 225's. I'll be replacing the worn tires with Proxes4. Just looking for some feedback. On her previous max a 96' I had 225/50/16 on stock suspension and she complained sometimes of a ruff ride, but I like the width of the 225's. Any info would be appreciated thanks.

It won't be that much of a difference. If you like the width of the 225 better, just go with that one. You would get a slightly more comfortable ride with the 55 series, and a little better snow traction with the 215.

Wider tires will always look cooler... I have 205's and though they look wider then 205's I really wish they were alot wider. All my friends have camaro's and TA's with 275's... my tires look so thin compared to theirs.

As far as ride comfort... i couldnt tell ya.

since your in brooklyn, and dry traction isn't an issue, i'd say the thinner tire.

more traction for the snow.

How wide are the stock wheels? 6.5? 7? Stay with 215.
