anyone here warranty their tokico illuminas?

I am thinking of sending my illuminas to get warrantied. The only problem is that I am not the original owner of them, however I have their original receipts. Do retailers and tokico typically warranty product for anyone not listed on the receipt?

Thanks

I remember reading in my manual that the warranty is for the original purchaser only, but will have to confirm later, if I can find the manual again.

My Illuminas have just started squeaking over speed bumps and the entrance to my driveway. I was going to pull them off, check the springs for unusual rubbing, and cut the bump stops down. If this doesn't work, I was going to call Tokico for warranty.

The first line in my "Installation letter" that came with the illuminas says "Tokico's warranty is limited to the original purchaser". However, if you want to take a chance, their phone number for warranty assistance is 800-548-2549.
