Sticky Clutch Pedal--

I've had a sticky clutch pedal for a while now-- I noticed it mostly when I had my transaxle rebuilt 50,000 miles ago... when I try and take off quickly from a stop, it doesn't happen... there is a lot of resistence .. i gotta give it a lot of gas to take off.. so I tried replacing the slave cylinder first... that helped a bit, but it's still rough - I tried searching on Yahoo!

" should also add that you might want to lubricate the rod and pin on the clutch pedal side inside the car. This should be done frist as your problem may only be that.. "
Anybody tried this? Any other solutions? I don't wanna have to replace the master cylinder.. so I thought I'd check up in here first.
