Halogen to HID swap...HELP!!!

Okay guys I need help from all those who really know there "ish". I'm purchasing a set of used OEM Xenon headlights for my 05 Max on E-bay and need to know if you have to change the harness or the connectors or will the one from the Halogen lights plug into the Xenon ones. I talked to a tech at the dealership and he said that an extra ground wire needed to be added to the harness since the HID's draw more power, but he didn't know if there were any differences in the connectors, etc... I would hate to pay $700 for 2 headlights and then not be able to install them or worse burn up my wiring. And I love how the HID's look, wish mine came with them but I bought it used. Please any help is appreciated!!!!!!

They just snap right in, and actually HID use less power, 35W compared to 55W halogens.

Well actually. The harness for the halogen won't fit onto the ballast. You need a female connector, but the halogen has a male connector (or it might be the other way around...i forgot already). At any rate, you'll have to do some splicing to wire the harness to the ballast. Some people clipped the connectors and spliced the proper one to fit the ballast. I clipped the connectors off and wired them up directly. I might be opening everything up again today to re-aim my lights. I'll post pics if I do.
