How low should I go?

Ill be putting K-sport coilcovers on my 2000 maxima next week. It is my understanding that 1.5" is optimal for handling, and that anything lower would actually lessen handling. I am not concerned with having a "slammed" look, but would like a slight drop (stock gap is unsightly) and a good handling improvement.

yes, anything lower will create bumpsteer and give less-than-optimal lower control arm angles. Stick with 1.5" or higher...

I am at about a 2.25-->2.5" drop and I really need to pick it up... It looks great, but bouncy as hell.

Actually, I think it's ok to lower it by a little more than 1.5" if you have coilovers with stiff rates.

Since stiff springs do not reach the point at which the bump steer reminds of its existence as often as conventional springs, lowering it buy another 2/10 - 3/10 of an inch should not be a problem. I got a 1.8" drop myself, and so far I didn't have any problems with bump steer.

Had a Ksport lowered about 2.5" and it handled just great on the turns. Now I have Tein S Tech w/ illumina about 2.2" and can't do the turn like I did with Ksport. This can be because of coilover vs struts/springs.

u can be a t full height and be fine...stiffer springs and struts with drop = full suspension travel with a nice stiff handeling
