M3 trunk lip spoiler

Has anyone put a m3 lip spoiler on their ride. I have seen them on ebay for ultra cheap. Not sure if they are cr*p or what. But instead of the normal spoiler i thought the m3 lip would give it a european feel to it. Any comments?

i wouldnt buy anything that doesnt show it installed on an actual maxima. and why is that called an "m3 spoiler"? a lot of cars have lip spoilers like that.

I don't think it will look very good on our cars, because of the way the trunk starts to slope down before the dropoff...on those cars (TL and 3) the trunk has a sharp edge, so it looks better than it would on ours...

^^and what are you talking about? that thing would provide some MAD downforce for all those 200 mph runs we do in our FWD family sedans.

first of all that is MADE for a maxima. if you can find one that is made for a maxima i'd say get it because i think if you dont have a stock spoiler the m3 lip would look nice on there.

one day i was wondering that too, and i remember i saw a thread a year ago, some one with these went to the Esso touchless car wash and the spoiler fly right off.... not to mention the high speed thing... i want a pic on our cars, but cant find one. if it looks good then i think i'll buy it and get a body shop to mold it in then paint it so it can look like one piece with the trunk...
just cant find any pic with this thing.../.\

Absound, Lala and Bus, i did see a black max on this site. Think it was a 99 though,. but it didnt look bad. It wasnt in your face like the factory wing but it gave it a euro look. Almost like a Audi. I think it would look very good. I will search today and post the pic, and then then let the comments come. I think the negative posts are due to guys that cnat change to the lip spoiler cause their would bwe holes in the trunk from the factory spoiler. hahahaah

that lip spoiler is practically invisible. Don't waste your money. I mean if you get more than 20 feet away from the car you wont be able to see it, especially if your paint is black.

Thats the max i was referring to . Sorry, thought it was a 99. GTR, od you like the wing. When your next to or a ways away how does it make the car look? I think it looks pretty good. Also where did you get it from. Do you have the site or whatever?

LUCKYMAX, where did u buy it? Did you paint it? How is it holding up?
I heard they don't hold at all since they go on the curve instead of a straight edge.

Yea, I like the wing it gives a clean look with a little edge to it. You notice the lip from a ways back and you can see it through the rear view mirror. I got the lip from Paradox-systems, they have it for a good price.

I think it looks good on the I35 and the 4th gens, but on the 5th gens I wouldn't put it on. The rear end is a little too rounded for the lip IMO. Plus, if it's not super flexible (like the Paradox spoilers as I unfortunately found out) it will resist the curvature and pull itself off the trunk (while trying to straighten itself back out)

I now have a flat-black, basically rubber, lip spoiler I bought off of eBay that is extremely flexible mounted on my trunk lid. No problems with that one coming off.

looks ok, I don't mind it. Provides NO stability value at all, even if you were going 300miles an hour. The way air flows over a car like ours, the spoiler would have to be at least a foot off the trunk to be of any functionality.

Looks kinda like the lip on the 07 max

im not looking for Function. The stock spoiler offers no function. only a Nascar type spoiler or Cobra R spoiler would give a noticealbe feel in downforce on the rear. Maybe i should try a Cobra R type wing. What do you think a spoiler 1 1/2 feet off the trunk. Would it still have the racey look. i think it might,. hahahahah
But i dont knw i kinda like the m3 lip spoiler on it. Different. No one around where i am has any creativity and this would be unique look.
