de-k injectors in 4th gen w/ stock ecu?

with all the 00VI swaps being done, figured someone out there has been there and done that ! just wondering how much richer the car is going to run, and what to expect until i get the greddy eu tuned.

ruin spark plugs ? burn heaps of fuel ? just looking for some personal experience and what i need to do with this setup until tuning?

Under normal driving it should be fine, with you mods you may run pretty good under WOT.

Under normal conditions like Jason said, you wont notice a thing.. I do however notice a difference between WOT and 3/4 throttle w/o a fuel tune.

gtr a bit slower right ? so the difference in size is not enough to mess up anything short term.

You can get an AFPR and lower the FP ever so slighty, BUT dont bother until you check your a/f ratios. Stock is 259 and the DEk ones are 290 IIRC. Its not a huge difference, definetly not enough to foul the spark plugs. If anything the rich condition will slow you down, keep you cool, and pretty darn safe.

I plan to upgrade my engine for spring. Actually I have injen cold air intake, y-pipe, hi flow cat, 2.5 cat back mandrel bent and NGK iridium plugs.Other small things but not as important as these. I'm thinking about these parts:
-Pathy TB
-V-ACF2 with 24 pts corrections
-DE-K rails and injectors(290cc/min)
-FPR with gauge around 50 psi
-DE-K heads with cams
-00VI
I have a deal on a 64,000mi DE-K at 800$CAN around 600$US.

What kind of gains should I expect.Or with what I actually have, what would you guys do.Consider I wanna stay N/A and 3.0L...
Thanks for your support!!!

upgrade engine... meaning you don't have a 3.0L or just getting a newer motor in the form of a DEK? I'm a little confused since you posted both you're getting a DEK for $800 CAN but you also getting DEK heads with cams??? 00VI?? Both comes on the DEK already so you wont have to make additional purchases. Anyhow, you will see a very noticeable gain in the top end power without sacrificing low or mid range....

I already have a VQ30 in a GXE 97 and planning to swap all the components from the DE-K mentionned in my last post.I just don't want to remove my present engine.

I want to have another 'shelf engine' like the block, accessories that comes with it and internals. If the engine internals craps, I would have the internals to swap in the 3.0DE block. Imagine if we can stroke it with higher compression pistons, I would already have the the crank and bearings in the DE-K shelf engine.

Yes, a bit slower but no I have been running without the tune for almost a year now and its perfectly fine. I should be fixing that eventually

If youre going to buy a DEK for 800 you really should swap the whole engine. Better cooling and redesigned internals. Youre paying 800 why not use all to get your moneys worth. I mean I paid 600$CND for a 2003 VQ35 in Montreal. Dont short sell yourself.

I was between swapping the whole engine or swapping those components.
