Has anyone used this for sound deadening?

http://www.mcmaster.com/

Search for item 9545t1.

At $78 plus shipping for over 250 sq. ft. of coverage, it seems like a good deal, but i am worried about the 120*F max temp. I wonder if it reliquifies abover, 120*, or if it just loses its deadening properties...

I was considering using it for the floor and trunt, though not the doors, etc. I saw here (http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89068) where it was used, btu the guys who used it sold their cars within a few months, so I don't know how it held up.

Any thoughts or opinions?

I wouldn't touch it. 120* max with a trunk that will easily reach upwards of 125, and the fact that the product is not made for cars should be a turn away.

Ive used seal and peel. You can get it at either lowes or Hd. Not sure were i got it i think it was lowes. It is about 6 inches tall and has a sticky backing and a shiny side. The shiny side is aluminum so it will cut. i know first hand. Ppl will tell you that it smells or it wont stick. False it does smell but once on it doesnt smell and it only doenst stick if you dont prep the surface or do it on a cold day. But ido like this stuff and it did deaden the vibrations and also its like 12 bucks a roll which is 6in x 12 ft. 3 rolls did my whole trunk and decklid.

I would call and talk to them I think they have others that are not listed on site. I use them for all my security screws and they are very helpful. Plus not expensive.

I searched for it on caraudio.com and a few guys tried it there...also on b15sentra.com. In both cases, people said that they would report their findings, but never did...
