Problem: Coin Stuck in ACenter Console C Adapter

Greetings all. I have a nickel that is stuck in the AC adapter located in the center console of my 04 Maxima. Wondering if anyone knew of any possible solutions? Thanks!

You'd probaly have to take out the whole center console...I know that I have the same issue, but I just left it alone!

Take a stick or something like that with a flat end (girlfriend's mascara bottle come to mind) about 1/2" in diameter attach a piece of double sided tape to it, lightly tap on the nickel and then pull it up

You're done

I'd just try to push in one side and most likely it will flip on it's side and you could pull it out...

Good luck on that one, as the guys know here, I had that issue myself. Thankfully, I turned in my 04 today, and my new 07 doesn't have that issue. Do a search on my name and you can see all the other suggestions people gave me on that one.

I tried everything.

Put some epoxy/krazy glue at the end of a stick or something. Touch the nickel and let it dry.

Touch nickel with Mig welder rod to freeze it on, then pull. Now that may be fun to watch.

I used a toothpick once.

Did like someone above mentioned, pushed on thre one side, then kinda used another to get under that.

Man I don't see you responding to any of these ideas which leads to me conclude that you have not been able to get it out....wait, untill now.

I have one more idea that is guaranteed to work. Change either the consolse or better yet.......... BUY A NEW MAX

I have yet to have any luck but I appreciate all your ideas. Hopefully I can remove the nickel soon.

As for how it got in there....I am not sure....but I won't be keeping my spare change in the console anymore.

you telling me there is an ac adapter in my car somewhere?

Maybe if you took a picture of exactly where the nickel is I could help you rig something up.

Where is the sticky for taking apart the center console? I want to gain access to that blank panel between the seat warmer switches.
