Hit a curb, need to know what I'm going to need fixed.
So I was in the process of buying new tires and decided to go out today to go tire shopping. It snowed a little bit and to my surprise I plowed right into a curb. My right front wheel hit with minimal damage to the wheel itself. The tire stayed inflated I just have a huge chunk taken out of the side of it. The biggest problem is now the wheel is set about 2 inches back in the wheel well and rubs when I turn. The steering immediately lost all resistance and is all crooked. What do you think I'm going to need to get my car fixed?
I forgot to see what region your in, the snow could make it a little more of a trouble some process.
if it damaged everything it would be
Control arm
Inner/outter tie rod
spindle/hub bearings
bent strut
sway bar end links.
bent rim
I would assume all of the above are damaged, and get pricing for all. And when you finally get a chance to jack up the car, and take a look, you'll see for sure what needs to be replaced and what doesnt. But up in MA, dont know if there will be a day that the snow would be all melted and the ground dry for you to check things out. Might have to take it to a shop for an estimate (worse comes to worse)
