The best tool is a 12mm, 1/4" drive flex socket attached to a long (at least 10") extension. With this setup I had the old sensor out in under five minutes.

You can also just use a U-joint and a regular socket, but I had some difficulty getting a 3/8" U-joint in there. I'm sure it's doable.

you need a lady friend or small child with small hands. thats how i (we) did mine. regular ratchet with 12mm socket. 5 minutes.

Honestly, it's probably not in the stickies because most DIYers know how to use a socket, extension, and a ratchet. Not trying to be a smarta$$, just stating it like it is.

+1 on the small hand. the only problem even with a small hand is that green plug that gets in the way. my hands are always scratched and bleeding from that damn thing. but i got it down really good. also useful is one of those retracting magnet antenna.

my weapon of choice is a 12mm gear wrench, undo the top of the green connector that gets in the way, wiggle your hand in there and get it cut like mr****s said, then hand yourself the wrench AFTER your hand is in there (do the same with the new and old ks)
