Engine
You should have a better idea about the engine than anyone. What kind of maintenance did you do on it? How often did you change the oil? What kind did you use? Same for spark plugs. Some engines with 50K miles have less life in them than ones with 250K. But, all in all, the Maxima engine is excellent - as long as you take care of it, it will take care of you.
there are a bunch a test u can do to determine how good it still is..do a compression and leak down test....have your oils sent to a lab to get it tested...do some common sense things like....does my car blow any smoke at start up or at all (not condensation)....is my gas mileage still good...do i do routine maintance...i mean a dont get me wrong at 200k things are going to need to be replaced...the question is do u want this current motor to nickel and dime you over the next few months or years or would u rather shell out all the cash now for a low milage de-k
well i got no smoke, no leaks, no noises ... amsoil every 5000 to 7000 ml.. trani also every 10000ml ... did a tune up like 2 years ago ... i think spark plugs probably bosch ... my concern is that im gonna c it comin, rite? its not like one day the engine just gonna blow up 8-) ... and overall wat do u think dek engine and trani usually cost? around 1000 to 1500?
