1. Does the valet key open the doors or start the car?

2. Can I get the original key cut at the dealer if I have my title?

The key I have now doesn't open the doors or trunk- just starts the car. Wondering if I got the valet key with the car when I got it.

 

all u need is the VIN....or key tag....they might as for proof of ownership

 

I was just told that Nissan only cuts keys via code going back 7 years. My car's too old I guess.

 

thats new cause i had a key cut for my 91 Maxima in like 2002 before I sold it
