I put headers and a y-pipe on last night and when I went to start it it would start but it wont run. I can rev it up and it will stay running. Say the smaller EGR pipe that bolts into the intake was undone, will that keep it from running?? I'm decently sure I had all the vacuum lines and everything on there correctly. Also, when I start it it sounds like there is a massive vacuum leak. Its sort of like a screaming noise. I think it could be the EGR since I didn't bolt it to the intake...

 

I have the intake off of it again and I counted all the vacuum hoses. All of them were on before, its just the EGR wasn't on. I unbolted it from the block and bolted it to the intake so hopefully it will be easier to put back on now. pray this works... oy

 

Get that EGR tube back onto the intake. It's the source of your huge vacuum leak and the reason your car will not run.

 

yeah i got it back on. took forever but i did it.. car runs just fine :-D now i need to get the exhaust rattle out... lol
