Rear camber problem

I just got my 95 Maxima back from the alignment shop and my rear camber was negative. -1.0 (left) and -1.1 (right). What can cause this? I do an aftermarket RSB on the car that I tightened while the car was in the air...I don't know if this would really affect anything but just thought I would mention that. I am lowered several inches on Ground Controls and AGX's. Why would my rear camber be negative? What would cause this problem? Thanks for any help.

I would remove the rear wheels and tighten them again with a torque wrench. Then take the car to a different alignment shop for a second opinion. Sometimes those alignment machines are off. Did you add something to the rear lately, like wheel spacers?

no wheel spacers. I have the suspension mods that I listed. I took the car for alignment because I had raised the car for the winter and put the stock wheels back on. In the summer when I have it aligned I put the ground controls all the way down in the front and match that in the rear (not that, that matters)

that could be the case. This is a pretty busy shop though so I imagine they would keep on top of their equipment. It does seem odd to me that the camber readings on each side of the rear were ~ the same. It would make more since if one side was messed up from being in a wreck or something. The car does track straight since the alignment so whatever they did in the front seems to be right.

There is no way you can have camber change with our rear beam, its solid. Unless your bearings are worn out or the beam has been damaged its fine.

In that case why don't you ask them to turn the car around and back the car in. Use the machine's front alignment for the rear. I have asked and seen alignment shops do that before.

Your car is tracking correctly.
There is nothing wrong with your rear camber, it's right on the money.

I was wondering if someone was gonna post that. lol

If you had positive camber, then you would have a problem.

oh ok cool. I did not know that and I guess the guy at the shop did not either because when I went to pick the car up he circled the two rear numbers and was telling me that they were off. Oh well....that's good to know there is nothing wrong.

I would be tempted to go back to the shop and ask the guy where he got his figures. I would not trust that he knows what he is doing on a Maxima.
