New windsheild = Messed up wipers

So, I got a new windshield installed. Something after market that, isnt as nice as the nissan one. Anyways, this is the first time ive ever done this kind of thing. The seal that goes along the top of the windshield dosnt fit properly.

BUT the BIGGER issue I am having is my windshield wipers... the first 1/4 of the "revolution" of the blade is really slow, like its pushin on the windsheild, then it goes fast again, then slow in the same part on the way down.

Did these dumb asses put the wrong windsheild back in my baby? or can I adjust the way the blades work?

And you've tried new wipers?
Also try cleaning the windshield.

Sorry... I have to state the obvious things first.

Nissan doesn't make glass, they build cars. Replacement windshields are exactly the same quality as OE and chances are good your replacement comes from the same mfg. that supplies Nissan with the glass originally installed in your car.

Anytime a windshield is replaced, the wipers need to be replaced also.
Your old wipers were formed to your old windshield, so therefore, it won't work on the new one.

My guess is that they did not put them back at the proper index, or they are slightly off if you know what I am trying to say... do this:

Take off you wipers, pry off the caps, remove the brass nut holdin them down, rock wiper back and forth gently to get them off (be veeeryyy careful you can actually brack your windsheild if you use a level this low on the glass), remove wiper arms.

Now, turn ignition key to clicks (no engine) turn wipers on ONCE, let them go back to "home" position. Re-attach wiper arms.

If this doesn't fix it, it could be in the rod under the plastic cowl. Easy to replace, not too easy to reach.

The previous owner of my car replaced the windshield with non-original one. I have a feeling that the viper arms push too hard against the windshield. The speed is ok but the vipers leave marks on the windshield. I even bought new silblade vipers and I don't see much of a difference.
May be it's because there are minor scratches made by old wipers on the windshield but it shouldn't be a proplem.
