Any ideas, what that fluid is?.. It didn't really have much of a smell, yet I'm not really sure what the certain unit I'm looking at is in the first place.

It's located above the front sway-bar on the drivers side, yet the tranny appears fine to me. It is leaking something, unless thats a relief for something, under something and/or I'm over analyzing the problem.

other items to consider, brake fluid, clutch fluid (if applicable), or power steering fluid, all those things are around/have connections on the drivers side that could leak onto the sway bar and that general area, for the most part.

Is that a power steering rack boot?
Those pictures are abysmal.

All resevoirs are full however.. Also, I do have 2 torn CV's on both sides, I'm too lazy to put the raxles in yet. But keep in mind that is the steering rack boot and for grease to get all the way over to that and onto the shift rod would be defying physics at best.
get in there with flash light and look around for a potential source. If one cant be found, clean the entire area and keep an eye on it to see where the fluid begins to accumulate from.
Change those axles already. . . it takes 1hr, plus I'm sure its pretty warm down there so, you cant use cold as an excuse.

You're in FL !!! Get out there and change your axles. I wish I could work on my car up here. It suc*s
It looks to me like tranny oil. Let us pretend to rule out clutch/brake fluid for those things are very corrosive and would probably discolor some area of that part by now. If it is power steering fluid you can probably tell because the resevoir will be low since it doesn't take much to fill it. That leaves the engine oil, axle grease, and tranny oil (I am going on logical deductions here). We can probably eliminate engine oil since the engine is on the passenger side. The axle is possible, but like you said it is near impossible of it to reach the shift rod and and the steering boot. The tranny is right in front of that area. If there is any tranny oil leak it would most definately splatter to the area in question provided that your car is moving fast enough on the highway. I would check the tranny for any signs of oil/dirt sticking to a particular area (a sign of oil running down the side or that sensor/switch down there). Let me know what you find.

Get 1.50 in quarters take the thing to the car wash and blast that area realy good, then wash it front the top down. After that you should be able to see either the boots, for the rack or the boots for the half shafts leaking. You should drive it a little and look at the area again. My best quess is the stearing rack is leaking.
