How many Amps you pushing?

how many Amps does your alt push? My last one was 130 and my subs still killed it.

Now I have an additional 7" touch screen so, im sure that will help too. Where/what is the biggest baddest alt I can get for my 99 Max?

Note: I might just take out the subs, or down size to one

what kind of subs do you have? it should be killing the alternator. Double check the wiring, make sure there is no fault or mis-wiring.

did you subs kill multiple alternators, or just one ? If it was just one alty it could have just been that ones time to go.

a new one could cure the problem. Add a ground kit too

i am probably pushing over 120 amps with my 2 amps...i get a decent amount of dimming. I have grounded my battery with 0 gauge and that's about it. I am planning on doing the Big 3 really soon which should help out a bit. I am looking into larger alternators but i am not sure what to look for yet. my old alt with 230k miles seems like it will take the crap soon.

I believe my alty or battery is about to kick the bucket. My interior lights and headlights flicker now when the bass hits. Hopefully it's just a problem with the wiring, but I doubt it, considering my luck.

I have killed 5 Alts, I know my stereo is wired right, i have checked many times and had other people look.

I got 2 x 12" Boston G2 DVC running at 250w RMS each

I have a 1ferrat capacitor with a rockford 5002 bridged running at 500w rms

Dont waste money on caps. Their effectiveness is debatable on a stock alternator. If you want to help stop dimming and possibly prolong the life of your alt, do yourself a favor and look into Kinetic batteries ( http://www.kinetikaudio.com/default.asp ) The HC600 is very small and compact, yet it can hold a LOT of power. Enough to start your car! I would really look into them, and in my 240 Im putting 2 HC1400s in the car. Im going ***** out.

If a high output alternator is in your budget, you might want to check out iraggi alternators. The guy that runs it is in tennessee and on the caraudio.com forums give him good praise in quality and customer service. He has an eBay store. check it out. a 200 amp alt for my car is just under 300 dollars.

I assume this person will be able to tell me if this 200 amp alt will fit in my Maxima?

I recently purchased a 200amp alternator from Mean Greeen. Fits in the OEM location with no problem. The pulley is a bit smaller then OEM though.
