Wouldn't recommend it on a street car. To answer your question, very few people have done this. The only one on the top of my mind is MadriGrasmax.

A rollcage won't fit with an automatic. You have to get a 5-speed.

If its a street car, depending on your jurisdiction, can leed to HUGE fines...11-12 second cars do not require roll cage IMO.

:attention
That is exactly what I did! The padding around the rollbar in the area of the driver's and passenger's head is 8" round over the bar itself. Also I do have 4 point schroth harnesses for driver and passenger.

A simple 6-point roll bar (not full cage) is acceptable in a street car because there is no bar to hit your skull on. I know a guy who totalled his supercharged miata doing 110 mph in a highway offramp (open differencial). He hit his head hard enough on the overhead bar that he ended up in the hospital. Cage+no padding=no good.

But with a Roll Bar you only have the two side bars to deal with. The rest is all behind you.

IRHA requires a roll bar from 11.99 down. NHRA used to, but is now at 11.49. If you firewall is unaltered, you dont need a full cage till 10.00. Otherwise, 10.99.
