Cant get the corner/clearance light assembly out

I Changed my headlight bulbs recently and wanted to change the corner lights (the onces that are located right beside the headlights and have the clear glass)

i unscrewed the screw but tried to wiggle the light housing out and could not get it out, i cant understand how its attached from the bottom on the inside. it seems that the part where u screw it to the car is interfering with me being able to take it out

i wanted to put blue bulbs in there at first, but then i hear u can get a ticket for that, so i wanna put some yellow bulbs there, it will match my parking lights (i dont have clear corners)

How do i get it out ?

you have to pull towards you really hard. once you have the screw out on top of course. id seems like you will break it but you wont.

It seems as thought as the part where the screw hold it down is interfering with me pulling it out. Which way should I pull the light? I dont understand what is holding it from the inside

at the base of the clearance light is a ball joint. Take a flat head screwdriver and while pulling the clearance light towards you push the screwdriver in the ball joint and twist it. If you do it right , it should pop right out. Just takes some strength to pull the lights wide enough to wedge a flathead in there.

yea, this is the hardest mod to do "change the corner bulb" mod. I didn't do this because of the difficulty. LOL

Just to clarify, you push the corner light away from the side of the car, not necessarily towards you, example if you were in front of the car.

Maybe thats why i was having trouble, i just didnt want to chip the headlight with my screwdriver cause thats what i was using for leverage. it was wrapped in a cloth but still i think its possible to chip it. i will try again tomorrow, and I think i will go with the yellow bulbs.

Light needs to go towards the front of the car first then you can pull it out from the ball and socket. Put amber bubs and none of that blue ****. White would look ok too. If you don't get pulled over with blue lights then your cops are idiots.

no i dont want the blues, wont match my turning signals, so i am thinking yellow, right now the stock bulb is weird its like a cross between white and yellow, i cant explain its in the middle of those two colours, like a washed out yellow its pissing me off

yeah stock bulbs suck. Amber are the best. Gives some color during the day and lights up nice at night.

Yes, I3ourne's advice was the best on here. No one else told you how it actually works! (It is a ball-in-socket design as I3 mentions) and yes, the best way to get it out is not by using a screwdriver externally (putting pressure on your corlner light and/or headlight), it is by coming down, from behind the light, putting the flathead driver between the light and the ball joint and then twisting in a corcscrew fashion. Good luck. The stock corner lights are too tight and the aftermarket diamond clear corners are too loose - mine always pop out now! You can't win.
