Out digital clock - In V1 remote?

A ways back I did the clock rewire.
Soon after the clock stopped working.
I took dash apart again.
Nothing to do with my rewire.
It's a loose wire in the plastic connector block and nothing I did fixed it.

Yeah, so anyway my Bose unit CD is busted.
Will probably be putting in an eclipse CD3100 [w/ clock]

As long as I had the dash apart I thought I might take out the old digital clock and replace it with the remote display for my V1 dectector.
Looks like it would fit pretty well.

Any thoughts on this?
Anyone attempt similar?

Thanks

If I do it I want it to look nice but it doesn't have to be perfect...
How much of a pita was it and were you happy w/ the results?
Got pics?
Thanks

Well that's certainly a dedication to the Maxima.
Everybody in the family drives one
- or you have four and you drive whichever one as the mood stirkes?

V1 remote looks nice
- but I have a 97 so the "clock pod" or whatever you call it is different...
