and for the sr20det swap prepare to spend some cash but you won't regret it if its done right mine was a lot of fun specially when beating evo's and sti's not to mention a lot of mustangs the list was long ,never managed to go to the track last time it got tuned on the dyno but i was outrunning a saleen that besides being supercharged was using a 75hp shot but was interrupted by a cop thank God he was in a very good mood that day

Oh I'm prepared to spend some cash... already did it with this car. A 240sx would be no different.

good luck with the project once you go boosted you will never want to go back just one thing if you have a good amount of cash i rather find a blown engine(if cylinders are ok) and the built it with forged pistons(cp,wiseco, tomei) good connecting rods(eagle, carrillo, pauter) use a top mount manifold instead of the oem bottom one use better turbine like a garret gt35 or something similar ,you may spend a few buck more from beginning and but save the hassle later

i melted #1#2 pistons on the 2nd time i went to the dyno i got 395whp that day but the engine did not survived after that i went forged and with a Microtech stand alone and 4 psi less than the previous time i was able to get 387whp but this time on the safe side probably could get more but this time i play safe went down a few psi and was running a little bit richer than last time

a few pics of my previous car it was a real sleeper barely can notice the front mount intercooler on the pic

Sleeper would be an under statement, that's one fast 240sx! Very nicely done.

Welcome back to the org!

Nice s13. If I did this, I would probably run a little conservative and shoot for 320ish whp just for safty sake. I've also had the thought of maybe dropping in an rb26dett w/ rb25dett oil pan if I could find one. I saw an install with that into an s14 and it fit... just barely...

of course you can drop and RB25det or a RB26det and please note i use one "T" on the last one because most people switch to a single bigger turbo due to lack of space on the s13/14 chassis but my personal opinion is that unless your target is above 500whp an sr20det is more than enoug way more cheap than building a Rb

got 2 friends using Rb's on both chassis and they cost a fortune and when the break something it cost another fortune to fix ,when my 2 pistons melted it only cost me only $400 for the forged pistons compared to the $700+ for the Rb ones again is just a matter of your whp goals and the $$ you may have or are willing to spend

one more thing my car ran head to head with an s14/rb25det that have 22 more ponies than mine and his car cost almost $3000 more to built than did mine
