SES Light Went Out on its own ????

I've been having intermittent problems with the computer throwing a P0135 (going by memory I could be off a number) code for the oxygen sensor. The few times it has happened since November I've been resetting the code (I have a AutoXray code reader) figuring I would get to it in the spring.

Well the last time this happened about 3 weeks ago I decieded to leave the light on. After a few weeks the light went out on its own (??). I always thought they code had to be manullly reset even after the problem is corrected.

If the problem is gone for a while does the ECU turn off the SES light, without manuel intervention?

It did not reset its self. The light will go off with something like 50 times cranking the car. I don't know why but this is the way it works. Often times I will have oxygen sensor codes thrown on my car, that will come on and go off by them selves. There is a still a problem, it just decides to go off for a little while. I will come back on again.
