stupid cars

So i was driving to the parts store today to get a part for my camaro that is running rich, and i stop at a light and wut do i smell? raw gas. wtf? everytime i stop raw gas smell pours through the air ducts, if i turn off the heat it doesnt smell. Plus my car was idleing for a lil bit and the knock sensor code and cyl 4 misfire code both show up. OMFG, bad day. Any help with any of this?

Misfire is probably tripping the KS, just swap out the coils/plugs on cylinder 4 and figure out what's causing the miss.

Um I would assume courtesy nissan would have them, dont know if they are cheap or not though.

Also I think there was someone selling them in the 4th gen for sale forum a couple days ago, dont know if its sold yet. I'd recommend you'd look there because they'll be well priced since its one member to another.

Worst advice ever. Coils/Plugs are one of the easiest things to swap out on the car.

I agree that was my worste reply ever, but if anyone ask questions having to deal with gas smell's in unusual places, then i dont think we should be telling him wat should work, i take issues like those serious, and not someting to be cheap with, i've heard of fatal incidents that happens with gas smells in unusual places with cars i dont have much details about them and i sure wouldnt want an org member or anyone get injured like that, his situation may not escalate to that but i would never even chance it .000000000001%, maybe im just overreacting but why would you get so offended if i recommended an auto shop? am i wrong?

I have a few coils left from a 00VI swap if you need one. They are off my 99 SE with less than 70k on them. PM me if interested.

The gas smell is just unburnt gas because of the misfire. His car isn't gonna explode.

yea, lol, not too worried about it exploding. But its weird, it only misfires when idleing for any amount of time (10 min. or so). Other than that, its fine. The only other problem is gay *** cold start issues, i did adjust the tps, it started like a champ for awhile, but now its back. No cel or anything yet, well see.
