350Z VQ35 in a 4th gen???

I was just wondering since I can have a good deal on a 350z vq35 but as for the swaping procedures, besides the hood clearance, is there anything else that would make the swap different then a vq35 off a max? I tried searching but didnt find anything.

Engine bolt pattern, RWD vs FWD.

Drive belt set-up.

What deal do you have on the 350z motor? Because FWD VQ35s routinely go for 600-800$ and have the same internals and cams as the 287 HP motor, without all the motor mount issues.

Stick to the regular VQ35 swap, and put in ebay cams while youre at it for the price difference between FWD and RWD motors.

i could get a vq35 off a 04 350z with 25 000km for 600$ and if im right, FWD vq35 goes for around the same price so for the difference, if i could make it fit just like a fwd, i might as well get it.

well better cams, plenum, etc, why not? oh well, if its such a hassle just to make it go inside, I guess ill go with a fwd 3.5. I was just guessing since both of them were vq's that they would be pretty much the same.

the 04 350z motor has the same cams as what the fwd does stock.100% no difference.

as for the IM many have put it on the 3.5 and gained nothing because you need a 3.5 ecu to get the gains.

and if you search you find find this has been beaten to death already . and i will post in this thread nomore

okay, so i guess its the 05+ which had 10.5mm lift and longer duration... hmmm, my bad. but as for the plenum, i know it requires tuning, but why need to buy one later when you already have one, thats wat i wanted to say. anyways, i got the idea, its just not the same.
