big brake kit options..

since 300zx stock rotors/calipers fit our cars does that mean aftermarket big brake kits from other companies such as Project Mu for the 300zx can fit on our cars?

Trust me, unless you have plenty of money stay away fom Brembo and other companies with their big brake kits and 2 piece rotors. Repair parts are extremely expensive. Just a new hat for the rotor is around $450.00 per side. Recently one of the bolts holding the rotor to the hat stripped and I paid $81.00 because you must buy the whole kit, they won't sell individual bolts. The rotors wear fast and I needed replacements after 2 sets of pads because they can usually be turned only once. This was after maybe 18,000 miles and the new set of rotors (without the hats) plus hardware and pads cost another $1200.00.

The brakes work and look great but buyer beware!

Maybe the moderators can sticky this to alert other people.

true...and frankly, unless you have a all-out race car or show car, there's really no reason to have a "name brand" BBK anyhow, when the regular Blehm/Jeff z32 caliper setup is more than adequate.

true that. That work just as well as any other name brand big brake kit out there.
