So has any tried to use the stock 350z camshafts in the 3.5L maxima because or cars are detuned and I was wondering what power gains would be like

He didn't say rev up. Your engine and a Z33 (non rev up or HR) are the same except the IM, tuning, and exhaust. Internally they are the same.

My question is what would be the point unless they were SUPER cheap. There are so many better options for cam upgrades than the 350z cams.

Well if we want to get technical here, the HR cams are slightly different than the rev-up cams (timing wise).

I have my eye on Tomei 268 duration & 10.5mm lift camshaft set.
But I heard there no longer made.
