I'm trying to install my new brake pads and rotors. I was able to replace the rotor but I can't seem to compress the rear calipar piston. I tried useing a C clamp but it's not working. BTW I didn't have any problems changing the front rotor/pads.

Does any one know how to compress the rear drivers side calipar?

Thanks in advance

You need to screw the caliper in using a set of pliers or something similar. Using a c-clamp will only fight that screw.

You have to turn the pistons clockwise while pushing them in. They make a special tool for the job which I think runs about $10 but regular needle nose pliers do the trick. It only took 3 or 4 turns when I did it. Here is the tool in case you're interested:

Thanks, the pliers trick worked fine. What a pain though. Silly Nissan tricks are for kids, but now I know and that's half the battle. YO JOE !!!!!!
