from what i heard it doesnt increase MPG it actually DEcreases it cause it lets more air thru and thus the engine compensates by dumping more gasoline into the engine, is that true ?

The effects of a K&N on mpg and hp are about the same...

nothing you're going to notice. The ONLY reason to buy a K&N air filter is if you like the idea of cleaning and re-using air filters rather than buying new ones every so often.

i bought a K&N air filter, yeah it seems like the gas mileage went down a little, but on warm days like 70's-80's it seems like it has a little more power..

I've seen my DTE on the dash at 754, and the mpg at 62...

For some reason, I can't bring myself to trust the computer on these matters...
