IT'S ALIVE.....Well sort of

After a year and 1 failed attempt I finally got the 3.5 running in my parts car I will post a link to the video when youtube gets done processing it. I will check other things while its in the white max before swapping it into the black one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcmjQANuB5s Do you think it sounds healthy, at least for not having an exhaust?

everything sounded fine until it reved down after you gave it some gas. Theres some ticking going on there that doesnt sound normal.

Other than that it sounds fine. You have any idea what that could have been?

Don't know yet I'm going to start it up tomorrow and see how it sounds. I really didn't let it run that long because it was so loud and late (don't want to **** off the neighbors).

i agree. but i also suggest u put the exhaust back on so we can get a better ear into whats goin on there. But so far yea it sounds fine. Its just that which is happening after giving it gas that it revs down

it sounded like something was just rattling in the engine bay somewhere, you can see he has a bunch of things not bolted down. like power steering reservoir

congrats!

Congrats on getting it running.

I dont remember seeing any threads but what were some of the problems you were running into?

Its hard to tell with the loud exhaust how healthy sounding the motor is. There are some odd noises that may not be normal but would be good to hear the car will full exhaust on so I can tune in on the noises a bit better.

Congrats though. . . what happened to the car?
