Also replaced my 2k2 MAF with a 2k1 unit.

I had to start a new thread all though theres one already.

Im happy as hell, my car has been acting funny and some days it feels really slow.

Today i went and got a MAF unit for a 01 max, 100$ with tax from my local stealership.

When i hit second gear the tires spin now for a good 3-4 seconds, before i was only gettin a lil hop.( They're 235/55/17 tires)

Im glad i finaly did this.

Swaping the little heat senor was a biger pain than I thought , couldnt get the thing out!

But all works well and I have no cell.

Sweet, time to re-dyno and possibly retune. Are the SAFC readings any different?

I carry an 01 unit in my trunk toolbox for 'safety' reasons.

Advantage is that it's a better more reliable unit, and it's much cheaper.

The disadvantage is that you have to transplant the IAT sensor.

I did the gas petal trick to clear the codes that were set when the MAF took a dump.

I never had any codes, my car just felt slow.

The other day , i dropped her down to 3rd at about 75mph and it felt like I was towing something, rpm barly climed.

As far as reading on the safc, I gained about 1% aif flow
Highest now is 73%,

I used to go to 72% on good days, lately it was hiting mid 70's tops.

I'd hate to even ask, but the swap seems to be for the 2k2 to 2k1, is there any advantage to swapping the 2k1 to the 2k3?

Yea, I plan on replacing my 2K3 MAF with a 2K1 MAF soon because I got a CEL last week. Car was feeling sluggish before the CEL went on. Call DaveB for a good price on 2K1 MAF.
