Test drove a Max. Heard a humming noise...

So I test drove an 02 Maxima SE. When only braking from high speeds 30+mph, it would make a humming noise coming from the rears. Could that be a bearing problem, rotors, or brake pads?? Please help me.

Thank you.

Could be anything, but those are the common culprits. It could be low or high tire pressure too, it seems unlikely, but I've had issues with other car with incorrect pressure making noise, and moreso under braking. It sounds like load on the bearings while slowing though. If it's higher miles that's probably it.
