Foglights but no switch....

When I bought my 99 Maxima it had fogs but no switch on the multifunction switch. So... I came up with a solution. Not sure if you guys have had this problem so...I thought I'd share. Well... I'm sure you guys know about the independant fog threads. This is the same procedure but instead of cuting the power wire... you've gotta cut the wire going to the ground on the coil side of the relay. Then after you cut it you've gotta ground the wire coming form the relay because the switch works off the ground. When you ground the wire it energizes the relay as long as the headlights are on. This way...everytime the headlights are on the fogs are on also... the only thing is you can't turn them off...but it beats replacing the switch...

ok...so you had fogs..but no switch?? Or just that the switch broke?? I'm not sure if i truly understand why you had to do this. My car has a switch to turn my fogs on/off. But then mine's an i30.

I wasn't referring to aftermarket. Buy a new light stalk.
