Problem with stock foglight on my '95SE. The 'bracket' that holds the bolt is broken. The two pins that are closer to the sidemarker are OK, but the foglight won't stay in place since the bolt can't hold the foglight. Do I have to get a whole new light or can the bracket be fixed or replaced? By the way, the bracket part that broke is plastic, or metal. I got a price of about ~$90 for just the one foglight from Courtesy Nissan.... One other thing, I've had two sets of Hella Yellow star foglight bulbs in the past 16 months... Both pairs burned out somewhat quickly. But they are cheap, though, you can get a pair for less than $20.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help...

Are the Hellas overwattage bulbs?
I use to run APC 100W bulbs in mine, and they burned out in 1.5 months
see if you can get them in 55W next time, there is just too much heat buildup in those OEM foglight enclosures. Bulbs get too hot and burn out.

See if you can remove the whole braket and then get a blow torch and some sotter and a square peace of metal resembling the peace that brock off.Now sotter the new peace off metal to the bracket were the peace fell off, now reinstall, now you need to drill a hole in the new peace so line the foglight up with the new peace of metal and drill the hole accordingly and now your good to go.This probably sounds realy confusing but it would be easy to do this if you have a spare hour.Good luck.

burnt bulbs

You didn,t touch the bulb glass with your hands cause if you did, it will cause them to blow prematurely
