Aftermarket mufflers?
Aftermarket mufflers?
Any aftermarket mufflers at there sounds remotely like the g35? This guy down the street has one and it sounds great...Im love with the sound...And yes I know I can put the actually muffler on my car but ill lose the spare tire well....
almost any muffler will sound good with a stock y-pipe. Although even with a straight through muffler assuming the rest of your exhaust is stock it will not be very loud.
If you have a y-pipe which is of an un-equal length design(almost all are) then its not going to sound very good with any muffler.
this wont apply to you if you have proper headers(cattman/hotshot)
The G35 question is always asked, and ill give you the answer..no the VQ30 will never sound close to a G35, now if you swap in a VQ35 and go with headers/catback you will be pretty damn close.

I had a 97 max se 4 years ago and had it set up with the stillen intake and stillen exhaust and it just sounded like beautiful muscle (when punched), not like a rice rocket. I'm telling you stillen does it right. I have a 99 max and put a stillen intake and getting ready for the exhaust again. And the price is approx 298.00 (greddy 543.00-->stillen half the cost). Good luck
Two different motors, two seperate sounds. This has my vote for a VQ30

96blkonblkse brings up a very good point in that the y-pipe is crucial here, almost as much so as the muffler you choose.

You have some clips of your exhaust?
i have a ypipe and cat back with a naxos muffler welded on. i did have a much smaller off brand mufler befor but i put on the huge naxos one and under easy to half throttle acceleration i sould like a 350/G35. im sure with fake duals it would be even closer. but if you dont have a y pipe just put a mid sized muffler with a resonalbly small tip. with a ypipe get the largest of the straight thourgh desined ones. you wond be dissapointed.
