0101- Camshaft sensor

Alright guys,
i rarely start a thread but im stumped.
i replaced the sensor and the code still shows up. so i tested the plug to make sure current is able to run through it and it works. anyone got any ideas?
too much gas is going into the engine at start up, so a big puff of un burnt gas comes out the tail pipe when it finally starts up.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt unplug it while running, doesnt seem smart to me, otherwise call a dealer and ask a tech what they think, if no luck bring it to them..

Inconsistent cranking speed due to a dying starter and/or starter circuit is a possible cause.
