OK! Whats going on with my car?
Last year, when i ran my car, with just a warpspeed y, it ran a 15.01 @ 94 PB. Now, I have a WORKING 00vi with NO vaccum leaks added to it and i just lost a "foot" race to a stock 2001 5spd with 3 passengers and a stock auto 4th gen. The 5th gen's PB was a 15.7 i believe. At this point, my tranny is slipping.
1-2 is fine,
2-3 revs extra 1500rpm then shifts, 3-4, same as 2-3.
at idle, or coming out of "D" into neutral or park, the torque converter makes a spooling noise, Like a jet getting ready to take off
if i rev the car in Neutral, it moves foward a little like it's stuck 1/4 way in drive, on it decels it rocks back like its resting again..WTF?
I have a CEL for bank 2 sensor 1(which 1 is that? by the firewall?) and for the sensor in the cat.
I have no AFC tune
The car backfires, pop's and "gargles" alot
I dont have a CEL for the knock sensor but could it still be bad?
Could those above problems cause my car to go from a 15.0 to a 15.7+ car?
Someone please help me, thanks
Aaron

also, besides a Vaccum leak or a no working VIAS, what else can go wrong with a 00vi swap...there is a few kinks in the travel tube of the fuel rail(the tube going from the front injector rail side, to the back rail. I managed to get the kinks out but the tube is still kind of "lumpy" would this be a problem?

What are your exact code numbers? Very simple test to check for a clogged cat if you have a vacuum gauge. Warm car up to operating temp, shut car off and wait a few seconds, start it up and note vacuum reading as soon as it settles, let it idle for a minute and make sure vacuum reading doesn't drop slowly, race the engine a few times and make sure that after it settles it isn't dropping.
You're not the only one mildly disappointed. I'm not disappointed in the swap, though, I'm disappointed in my car in general. I'm definitely going to the wrong drag strip for personal best times, though
I can drop .6 off my ET just by making the VIAS work properly or not at the track (and yes, the conditions were identical, my 60 foot was almost exactly the same, even). I would try something like that. Go to the track sometime, set your VIAS to open at something crazy like 1000 RPM and do a run, then do a run with a 5000 RPM setting. See if it's doing it's job. If not, something besides the 00VI is wrong.
Fuel filter good? Air filter? I'd maybe check those fuel lines out again as well.

First off:
1.) Gather codes, fix them
2.) Get a new tranny (www.carpart.com) either a swap (MT) or direct transplant (AT) are in order.

To the other replys, Ill try that method of vaccum checking tomorrow and change out my fuel filter(i have some reasons to possibly knowing it's clogged)
As for the track method, On my way home from work today, NORMAL driving. I approach a light after about 5mins of driving. Leave the light and car doesnt go past 2nd gear, clutchs are gone in 3rd and 4th now.. so it'll have alot of free time in the next few days to get a few check ups
