Radiator Frame Support Rotted Off

Jus found out that my radiator support frame rotted off! Has anyone else had this happen? I have to have someone weld a new one on and it is going to cost close to a $1000! Any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.

Replace it? Shouldn't cost that much for cutting and welding. Check ebay or buy the lower piece from Nissan, they sell it as well IIRC.

Parts are about $200 from dealer (ask for a lower core support - get new bushings and bolts too), and the labor will cost from $500-$1000, depending on the shop.

I'm right near Plymouth, and I have a brand new factory nissan lower radiator support sitting in my garage right next to the welder, how convenient...... $130 for the part, $450 to remove everything, cut-out the old, weld in the new, and re-install everything. Won't be able to do it any sooner than 1.5 weeks though, you can pm me or call my cell 774-766-7462.

ordered my lower radiator support last week, should be here soon. i will replace it sometime this summer. mine is not THAT bad but I don't want to wait too long. I don't like the idea of a rusted support
