What year ECU to use after 5spd conversion

I had my car conevrted to 5spd for over a year now and I am tired of CEL illuminated at all times as well as RPMs stayin at 1.3 RPMS until I come to a dead stop then they drop to normal. Since my car is a 99 I am thinking that if i get 99 5spd ECU then since 99 have immobilizer it is not goin to start, mb i sohuld get 98 ECU?

Any input will be appreciated

Thanks

get a ecu for 5spd 99. u need to pay attention to FED or CA spec too. if not the proper year, the there will be a CEL, specially with 99 being the last year.

how is everything else running besides the CEL ?

I took out the CEL Light. I just run a full diagnostic test at school every week or so to make sure everythings still working right with the Snap On Modus. I'm still running the auto ECU. I do plan to swap soon to at least an manual ECU. Also you can take your Automatic Tranny computer and get rid of 5 codes I believe for the shift solenoids and for the Torque Converter. Its right behind the Shifter underneath the radio. Its about the size of your fist and use a 10mm to take it off.
