My girl bought these Tein off eBay for my b-day about 4-5 months ago. I removed them because of the ride was way too hard for me. Anyways....

Tried to look up the product numbers online but nothing.

Brown part: SPR01-011350

Yes I have tried Tein website and looked at all the applications nothing shows up, Yes I have googled it still nothing.... How can I make sure these springs are Authentic and not counterfeit?

there was a section on Tein site showing u how to tell fake ones apart from real ones. to my knowledge, they are all green and not gold. most likely counterfit.

if it is a fake, they did a good job of hiding it, H-techs are a gold-ish color. The fakes on the tein website have stickers for the tein logo, and the number doesn't go diagonally up the spring. The ones you have seem to have the tein logo printed on them, and the number seems to follow the style that the originals have, so if they are knock-offs those people did a good job making them look real. Wait till some people that have ridden on H. techs chime in to see if they are really fakes.

How were your shocks when the springs were on?

 

Those are exactly how mine look, and actually some people were suspecting there were two different versions of the h-techs out there. Mine are excellent. The ride is a little rougher than stock, but the handling is great with minimal body lean, a controlled demeanor over bumps, and no bottoming out. On the other hand, many have complained about serious bottoming issues as well as mushy handling. I got mine from ebay as well, so maybe the real version is the bad one?

About the ride, I agree with the post above. That has a LOT to do with your strut choice. You weren't using stock struts were you?

 

oh the H techs are gold and s techs are green ? well, just look to see if your tein logo is printed on the springs and if the part # follows the curves of the spring !

 

Too me they look genuine but I can't find the part number anywhere…. ????

When driving alone I would bottom-out here and there, with passengers I would bottom-out everywhere! It made driving a task Vs a pleasure. Friends would always ask if I needed suspension work.

No… I purchase the Tokico HP/Blues stocks when I installed the springs.

The Tein logo is printed on the springs and part number curves w/ the spring, but what gets me is that I cant find the part number anywhere….. I might contact Tein to look it up. And other thing too, I thought these where S tech…… ?

 

S techs are green like they said in the previous post, and the h techs are gold colored. Alot of knock off stuff on ebay, so be careful.

 

s techs will ride much harsher than h techs and u are already crying about h techs. lol ! just go back to stock.

 

Yeah, if H-Techs are not for you, stay the F away from the S-Techs.

They are like double the drop.

The S-techs are the worst springs ever for the maxima... period. they are waaaaaay to soft a spring rate for as low as they drop.

 

they look legit, i just installed mine and they looked just like yours. i have h-techs with tokico hp, the ride is firm and not harsh, only big dips/bumps at fast speeds its kinda harsh, but on small bumps and slower speeds, its actually better than stock, its less bouncy and feels more solid. and less body roll.

 

OT as heck but

 

stechs are fine with illuminas.. i would not run them with anything else but with illuminas A+

 

I would have to say the same... I love my S-Techs and Illuminas. If paired with some other shock/strut then It might be hell to ride. However, I just came off of H-Techs and it has already been stated about how to check for authenticity. I would contact Tein and have them look up the part number.

 

Our definitions of "fine" differ, i suppose.

 

S-tech are diffenately a very harsh ride, I have them on agx struts and its a very rough ride, handles pretty good though

 

right, fine as in the illuminas are able to properly dampen the S-techs. Not saying they're not harsh but they can dampen the softer rate of the S-techs

 

From what ebay and Tein sites have to say, There Fake if the Tein Logo is a sticker, Tein prints there logo on the spring .

 

The S-tech's with my agx are a wicked harsh ride. it handles ridiculous though.


Didn't the ebay seller specify if they were 100% authentic TEIN springs? I bought mine off of ebay and the seller had that on his page. The TEIN logo is painted on the spring. He actually offered your money back if they weren't. Pretty ballsy

 

The s-tech's aren't what's harsh. It's the AGX struts.
