the EGR tube thing on the rear headers has been a problem to SOME people. Others have no problems at all.

fitment issues with the EGR or lack there of but for the price of the headers a little Fab work never hurt anybody unless you got money in the bank like that

Well put the price is great even if they are just shorties, ive got a pair of the headers for sale, never used, and they will bolt up to any aftermarket Y-pipe.

Yes sir. I just installed mine about 6 weeks ago. it was a ****** fukr. first problem i had was getting the rear headers to slide on the head studs and slide next to the egr tube. I took the egr assembly loose from where it mounts on the side of the head so i could move it around, and left the headers loose ( but on the manifold studs) with both components loose i still had a problem getting the egr pipe to thread into the headers but it finaly went. then i tightened the headers up to the head. well after i put the upper plenum back on i had trouble getting the egr to mount back up to the motor. once i got all that **** back together i put the front headers on, man that was easy. i thought i was in the clear but when i went to install the y-pipe it would not fit, even with the front header loose it took me at least an hour with a prybar to get it to fit on both headers. but I replaced their crappy manifold to pipe gaskets the other day with o.e. ring gaskets and ran into another problem, the nuts they supply to mount the headers to the y pipe completly seized up and broke 2 of the studs off of the header ( they are bolts welded in not real studs) so i had to cut them off flush with the flange drill them out and tap the header to accept bolts. then i went to replace the 02 sensor in the front and it had seized up and pulled all of the threads out of the y pipe with it. I tried to clean them with a spark plug thread chaser but thet were toast. so i had to grind off about a 1/2 inch of the bung to expose fresh threads and install the 02 sensor this did work and it did seal. when that was finished i went to put the y-pipe on and it slid right on both headers with no problem. I think they have fixed the ypipe fitament issues with a flex section between the headers. as well as a flex section in the egr tube. oh yeah stainless steel my *** mine are already showing slight signs or rust. paint or powdercoat them. While i was installing the system i hated my car and the system, but now that is all done and sealed i have to say i took it down the highway and was laughing because it was the first mod i had done that made a signifigant difference. BUt expect some downtime i am confident that in my driveway i could pull the motor and tranny in less than 4 hours, but this took almost 14 hours and i was pissed the entire time. if this is hard to understand let me know i dont preread before i post. let me know if you have any questions about this install. later.

I have a set, they run great with a cattman 2.5. Only issues I had were in fact the rear headers as everyone else says, if you're lucky they will line up but otherwise they'll squeeze up your EGR. You won't have to replace the EGR or anything, just makes it loose. Also the rears might take a bit of bending to line up, but other than that, they fit good. One thing to check is if you're getting the headers/y-pipe combination, make sure it'll connect to your exhaust. Dunno if I was missing anything, but apparently so, the tube from the y-pipe was short about a foot from my cattman b-pipe, not sure if I forgot something from the SSAC or Cattman, ended up just welding a foot-long piece of muffler piping, works fine now. And yes, the headers do show signs of well... wouldnt wanna call it rust, but its like the headers change copper almost. Lol, don't touch em if your engine is running, learned that the hard way

i did not buy a new one, but i installed them 2 months ago and itwas a ***** to get it on both headers, but last weekend i removed it to replace studs and the o2 sensor and it went back on smoothly with no prying, they must have sort of formed themselves to fit from the heat.

as far as the rust goes it seems that the thin coating on the y pipe has cooked off and it is like a flash rust (thin dusty rust like you see on your rotors after it rains) no big deal, but it may sway your oppinion.
