throttle bodies

throttle bodies

Anyone know aftermarket throttle bodies for a max? i know edelbrock makes a universal fit anybody done this? im just curious what else i could use besides the pathfinders throttle body.

they won't really help if you aren't seriously modded, but if you just have to have one get a pathfinder TB. I don't know of any company off the top of my head that makes them

Your main upgrade would be a Pathfinder TB and that is 70mm. You will need Adaptor plates to make it work. Contact Stephen Max. Without too many mods, you wont see much of a gain but the more and more you do, the more and more it will help.

You could also bore out the stock unit a few more mm. There's 2 or 3 good firms who do em. Definately a bit more throttle response if not a hp or two.

This won't net you significant power, mostly throttle response unless you have forced induction... iirc about $250 with core exchange....

buy my 3.5 maxima tb for 100 bucks and put that on.
