Wheezing noise on acceleration

I hear a weird wheezing noise from the engine when I accelerate, could it be a faulty EGR valve (no code thrown and it was cleaned out not too long ago) anything else I should look for?

Pull it, take it in and have it tested. If its making a noise in the car, it should make a noise on the tester.

Do you hear a whining noise when car is in park? Try pulling the accelerator cable to see if it's the belts or the alternator. Hopefully it would be that. If so, then should get that changed as soon as possible.

do you have an aftermarket intake? when you change your in take to say a wai, it makes a whistle noise when you accellerate, only in driving down the road tho, it wont do it if you pull the throttle cable under the hood.
