Any one here seen the swap on vqpower.com.... seen it a while back but i think he just bolted on a turbo... i really don't know but how is that swap possible and wow that must be a fast motor.

I think in japan they have made a vq30dett... i wonder if that would fit in a maxima... it is said to do over 450 hp i think. Why can't our motors be the same build has the vg30dett? Would it be to fast? OR is it because thats iron and were aluminum but from what i read and seen with my own eyes vq is Strong.

Its surprising that with the years of people talking smack and drooling over the vq30det ... someone actually installs one and the consensus seems to be Meh


Ladder? ladder where is this ladder of which you speak? I have been meaning to donate

 

It's bittersweet. It was drooled over because it was stock. We have mods now that put it to shame, but for everyday reliability, the DET is what it is, stock.

 

nissan did make a tt version of the vq30 and if they can fit the vq30det in the max they can fit the tt because it is almost the same engine set up.

 

^^^^ dunno if it would fit with another turbo tho?

the tude on this subject is ... well, funny. we are supposed to be here to help eachother. I understand there can be a difference of opinion, and that is cool, but there is no need to be harsh to anyone for having their say so.

The only way you could fit a VQ30DETT in a 4th gen IMO would be by removing the firewall, and that would be begging for a Darwin Award...
