Rock hit door, chipped paint. No real dent

2004 Dark Blue SE. Driving down the road it seems some rock got spit out at my drivers side door. Made a very loud noise. I was quite worried about what the damage would be when I stopped.

About a 1/4 diameter chip. Doesnt seem to be a dent. I can see the white (undercoat) there now.

All advice appreciated.

The cheapest route would be some touch-up paint, if you feel you can manage the damage. Your next choice would be to talk to a few local body shops and see who can fix it for the least amount of money.

Are there any board recommended paints?

When you use the touch-up paint, paint totally inside the chip lines. It makes a world of difference if you go out of that chip border, even a little.

welcome to my world.... i have a bunch of those chip marks all over my hood... I plan to repaint the whole hood....

If you have only one chip, try to get some touch-up paint. If you dont like the way that looks, go to a local body shop and have them put in some work...

Get R Done!
