passenger side cv axle installation help

hi,
i just changed my cv axle on both sides but for some i'm having an alignment issue on the passenger side. Everthing on the inside is align and bolts to the bracket but on ther other side where the 36 mm nut attaches too I cant get the steering knuckle to line up with the bottom of the strut. I also cant pull the the axle back out because its stuck in the knuckle. Do I need to take out the tire rod end so i can remove the axle because thats the only possible way it seems to come out. Any help and suggestion is appreciated.

I had the same problem last week when putting my trans and axles back in. I spent 30min messing with it when all I had to do was turn the steering wheel a little bit and everything lined up. Give it a try.

Turn the steering wheel and push down the steering knuckle. That's what I had to do.

hey thanks for the advice guys what i end up doing was turn the steering wheel and wiggled and shaked the steering knuckle to get it back align. Now I ran into another issue after the installation I'm gettting a clunking noise out of the passenger side almost sound like your banging two peice of metal pipes together. The sound only occurs when the speed is under 40 mph. I checked out all the components on that side and it seems everything is out of the way. Also I dont know if this matters or not but when I bought both the axle they had an abs ring on it and my car doesnt have abs and now when I brake the brake pedal inside is pulsating like when you have abs and braking on a slippery surface. If the abs ring are an issue then how would I remove them from the axles.

You have the wrong axle. There are ABS, non-ABS and Limited Slip variants.

ABS and non ABS won't matter for axles. Non abs can use ABS just not the other way around.

Possibly a bad CV Joint? I know mine "clanks" going under 10 mph or like in a parking lot.
