Your friend is about right. Brembo blanks and Hawk pads, both available in the group deals forum. The Hawks are powerful, but they dust. Good OEM replacements are Raybestos Quietstop Ceramic pads, which are dead quiet and give off virtually no dust. You'll be happy with both, as long as you aren't racing your car.

just cut the stock rotors or get cheap-o replacements. and get some raybestos pads at pep boys. youll be all set. i cant see wasting money on stock sized brake pads....**** i actually autocross my car every weekend and my pep boys **** holds up great. id only spend money on good pads if i had 4 pot z32 calipers on it.

I agree with X.. just cut them and get good pads, I have drilled and slotted brem's with rayb's and to be honest i'm considering z32 conv just don't notice that much diff from stock, supposedly they run cooler but i'll tell you if you go sloted or drilled you'll definately go through pads alot quicker.

check out the brakes and susp forum there's alot of info there, u might get some feed back on axiss there, i have no experience with them. Material of pads should be researched by u, it depends on what u wanna do-> some release a lot more dust, some are quiet, and some just eat up rotors it all depends on application.

Just make sure u spray them with penetrating liquid, like WD40. Took me a while to get them off my 96.

Good luck
