brakes advice
My front brakes are going bad and have to replace rotors and pads. I need yall's advice. I don't need anything too high performance but something decent. My friend recommended me brembo rotors and hawk or axxis brake pads. Do yall have any other good suggestions? I have a 97 model gle.

Your friend is about right. Brembo blanks and Hawk pads, both available in the group deals forum. The Hawks are powerful, but they dust. Good OEM replacements are Raybestos Quietstop Ceramic pads, which are dead quiet and give off virtually no dust. You'll be happy with both, as long as you aren't racing your car.

just cut the stock rotors or get cheap-o replacements. and get some raybestos pads at pep boys. youll be all set. i cant see wasting money on stock sized brake pads....**** i actually autocross my car every weekend and my pep boys **** holds up great. id only spend money on good pads if i had 4 pot z32 calipers on it.

check out the brakes and susp forum there's alot of info there, u might get some feed back on axiss there, i have no experience with them. Material of pads should be researched by u, it depends on what u wanna do-> some release a lot more dust, some are quiet, and some just eat up rotors it all depends on application.
