RPM signal for mevi on 99 max
I followed the various charts/diagrams floating around the org. I have a 99, and it was the same color as described for older years. Per the writeups/diagrams, I tapped the grey w/ red stripe coil wire for cylinder 6.......
By doing it this way, you don't need to run a wire into the cabin to get to the ECU.

thanks just on the 96 dash board (cluster) on the rear theres a screw that says tam thats where i wired the rpm switch to to get the signal for 96 models but on the 99's theres no screw just didnt want to tap into the ecu wire(cutting into it) but have no choice now thanks

First off, please check your attitude at the door.
You said you don't have a choice but to tap into the ECU wire in the cabin when in reality you don't have to. You can tap into the coil wire under the hood. I was trying to help.
